OxyBand Technologies Now Conducting Case Studies at a Major U.S. University and Medical Center
OxyBand Technologies is moving forward with case studies on variety of wound types, including chronic wounds, at a major university and medical center in the United States.
The incidence of chronic wounds is growing due to the advancing age of the population and an increase in the number of people with diseases such as diabetes. Each year there are millions of venous, pressure and diabetic ulcers worldwide that require treatment. Improving treatment and reducing costs for treating patients with chronic wounds is becoming a priority. The case studies are being conducted to further demonstrate the efficacy of OxyBand Wound Technology in exudating and chronic wounds.
“We are very excited to begin the next level of clinical testing of OxyBand technology and we are optimistic about the potential outcome using OxyBand technology to help problem wounds heal faster,” said OxyBand Technologies CEO Amie Franklin.
