U.S. Army To Evaluate OxyBand Wound Technology
President George Bush recently signed the FY07 Defense Appropriations Bill into law. Thanks to the support of the United States Congress and the United States Army Institute for Surgical Research (USAISR), $1 M was included in the bill for the Army to Test and Evaluate Oxygen Diffusion Dressings for accelerated healing of battlefield wounds.
The USAISR is committed to working with OxyBand in the execution of these FY07 appropriated funds. This funding will enable the USAISR to test and evaluate the effectiveness of OxyBand wound technology on various wound types suffered by members of the armed forces.
“We are proud to be working with the USAISR, an organization committed to providing state of the art combat casualty care, medical solutions and products to injured soldiers and military personnel in the field and at home,” said OxyBand Technologies CEO Amie Franklin.
The goal of the work to be funded is for the USAISR to demonstrate efficacy with OxyBand wound technology leading to procurement of OxyBand wound dressings by the military.
